Downsizer and retiree, Sun Mei Cheng, purchased an off the plan, two-bedroom apartment at The Grand Residences in Eastlakes, Crown Group’s landmark $1 billion development in the heart of Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Ms Cheng downsized from a four-bedroom trophy house in Hornsby Heights in Sydney’s upper north shore to buy into a brand new apartment which she will live in with her family when the apartment settles in July.
“We purchased at The Grand Residences as it was one of the closest developments to major hospitals and universities. Plus, we really liked the environment. With Aldi, Woolworths and coffee shops in the ground level, it was a lifestyle decision. There’s also going to be a brand new shopping centre across the road in coming years so it will be very convenient.”
Ms Cheng had looked at a few other developments in the local area but Crown Group’s was certainly the best presented.
“It’s a big change,” Ms Cheng said. “We haven’t lived in an apartment before so it’s a big change of lifestyle. Everything is new which is so lovely. It is the lifestyle that really appeals to us,” she said.
“With all these amenities it makes it very easy for retirees. You don’t have to drive anywhere. Everything is within your own environment. It’s private as well, other people can’t access the private resident areas. I love the gym and my family will use the pool. The rooftop area is also a great area to relax and entertain, with a fantastic view toward the city,” she said.
