Claiming Mortlake Point’s last remaining foreshore position, along with a new private marina, Corsa Mortlake will offer harbourside living at its finest, developed by premium boutique builder / developer, MADE Property.
Immaculately designed by award-winning architects, SJB, Corsa Mortlake is an absolute waterfront luxury residential development positioned on Majors Bay in Sydney Harbour in the inner-west waterside suburb of Mortlake, adjoining Breakfast Point.
Comprising an exclusive collection of only 20 three-bedroom super-sized residences, the residential development captures uninterrupted panoramic water views, abundant storage, secure basement parking with spaces that fit two or three cars, and a 23-berth marina which accommodates boats from 12 to 20 metres in length.
A prime north-east-facing development, Corsa Mortlake will capture arguably some of Sydney’s most spectacular 180-degree harbour views with every apartment featuring expansive balconies.
With interiors also designed by SJB, the resplendent waterfront residences will feature exquisite interior designs, leveraging the project’s harbourside location and deep connection to the harbour, including elevated finishes and premium fixtures.
SJB’s design team headed by Director Adam Haddow provides a Design Statement below for Corsa Mortlake:
“The design for Corsa Mortlake creates a harmonious fusion of architecture, interior design, landscape and sustainability. Addressing the foreshore and gracefully descending towards the water, the building engages seamlessly with its environment.
“The building’s relationship with its surroundings has been carefully orchestrated, ensuring panoramic views towards the harbour. A carefully crafted façade, with large openings and sculpted windows, takes advantage of the incredible location, and creates an architecture of refinement and elegance.
“The landscape seamlessly blends with the building, with landscaped roofs at the lower levels embedding the building into the surrounds. Upon arrival, residents are immersed by a landscape courtyard that leads to a lobby adorned with dappled light and high-quality finishes. The building’s setback from the foreshore offers newfound public views from Tennyson Road, redefining the relationship between architecture and water.
“At the heart of the design is a sustainable mindset that creates an architecture that endures. This benefits the environment and the occupant. Every apartment draws in the water views, is cross ventilated, and is orientated to the North-Easterly aspect.
“To achieve these elevated levels of amenity, each floor limits the apartment numbers to five and introduces three lift lobbies. This results in 1 or 2 apartments to each lobby ensuring an intimate entry experience, this is further elevated with brick screens that ensure privacy, while allowing light and air.
“Material selections, particularly the ubiquitous brickwork, speak to durability, longevity, and sustainability. The passive design principles will yield both comfort and reduced energy consumption. Each apartment is cross ventilated, reducing the reliance on air conditioning and connecting the occupant to the harbour. The orientation maximises solar access and natural daylight. Solar panels will further reduce consumption, a testament to our commitment to sustainable practices and reducing the building’s ecological footprint.
“To enrich the living experience, we present two distinct interior design schemes. Light, embraces timeless elegance with off-white joinery, grey and white marble, and mid-tone timber flooring. Dark, exudes opulence with grey marble, deep timber flooring, and off-white joinery.
“The vision for the interior design is cohesive with the building’s character and context. Five unique floorplans adapt to specific micro-climates, ensuring tailored comfort for each resident. The design philosophy celebrates simplicity through joinery forms, while reeded details pay homage to the rippling waters of the Parramatta River. High end fixtures and Miele appliances provide for sophisticated apartment living. Overall, the apartments feature generous storage, bathrooms with bathtubs, designed study areas and room laundries, and generous outdoor areas, thereby facilitating a light level of amenity. Optional features such as a bespoke built-in mini bar with stone and mirrored finishes and custom designed gas fireplace /TV unit provide for luxurious upgrades for buyers.
“Corsa Mortlake epitomizes a union of architectural elegance, sustainable stewardship, and interior sophistication. It stands as a testament to our commitment to crafting living spaces that resonate with the environment and stand the test of time.”
Excitingly for the local community, as part of the development, the boardwalk which fronts the project will be extended as part of the Canada Bay Council Foreshore Access Strategy, which aims to improve and increase access to the beautiful foreshore areas around Canada Bay.
