COUNTDOWN IS ON: 90 days until the opening of Ciel Restaurant, the most anticipated rooftop in the Hills District of Sydney

The countdown is on for the grand opening of Ciel Restaurant, a spectacular fine-dining rooftop by acclaimed Australian Michelin-trained chef, Joshua Mason. Located in the landmark Infinity Park master-planned community in Sydney’s rapidly expanding Norwest area, Ciel is the latest offering elevating the dining scene in the Hills district.

Ciel, meaning ‘Sky’ in French, will open seven days a week, and is set to become the social hub of choice in The Hills District. Its decor draws inspiration from the quality and luxury finishes of brass and stone, reminiscent of iconic establishments like Eleven Madison Park in New York City or The French Laundry in California. This distinctive ambience promises to offer a dining experience that hasn’t been showcased before in the northwest of Sydney.

The new rooftop has a spacious 300sqm area, offering seating for 120 patrons. The restaurant will feature both indoor and outdoor dining spaces, as well as a private room for group bookings, making it an ideal venue for a variety of dining experiences. Whether you’re looking to host a business meeting or simply unwind with a luxurious drink.

Positioned overlooking the Castle Hill Country Club, diners will have sweeping views of the rolling greens during the day and have views of the dazzling Sydney CBD lights at night.

Chef Joshua Mason is excited to establish his second venue in Sydney’s Hills District:

“We are bringing social back to The Hills District, introducing a touch of luxury and excitement to the area. Our venue will offer a sophisticated yet ‘vibe-y’ atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a delightful meal and drinks with friends. As my second venture in the northwest, I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue investing in this vibrant community.”

“Already with 500 bookings, the anticipation for our opening is palpable. Ciel Restaurant is poised to be the most sought-after premium rooftop in the area, and we’re meticulously crafting every detail. For instance, our lavish balcony lounge features a customised DJ booth, adding a unique jazzy-party vibe to the venue.”

Chef Mason is drawing inspiration from his Sicilian heritage

Chef Mason is inspired by his Sicilian heritage, bringing a touch of Mediterranean to Ciel’s menu. The restaurant will showcase a seafood-forward focus, paying homage to Sicily’s coastal flavours.

Guests can expect a delightful ‘ice well’ featuring a variety of fresh oysters, lobsters, crustaceans, and Australian fish. The restaurant will also boast a striking green stone bar imported from Argentina, offering guests the perfect setting to enjoy a shucked oyster paired with a stunning dirty martini or chilled glass of Ruinart Champagne Brut.

“Ciel will offer a wood-fired dining experience, drawing inspiration from the south of France and Mediterranean cuisine. Our custom-made grill and charcoal oven will allow us to create authentically flavoured dishes kissed by fire,” Chef Mason explained.

The restaurant will be open in August and is a major drawcard for the Hills rapidly expanding growth and dining scene. It will give people and locals a new experience in a state-of-the-art facility offering a dining experience that hasn’t been showcased before in the northwest.

Ciel Restaurant is located at 7 Maitland Place, Norwest, NSW 2153 and will be open Monday to Sunday for bookings.
